Update to L23 – Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 – Guidance on Regulations

The publication has been restructured into four parts, with the regulations and brief guidance in Part 1 and more detailed guidance to help carry out risk assessments and control risks in Parts 2-4. It explains how to avoid, assess and reduce the risk of injury from manual handling.

This revised guidance is aimed at directors, owners, managers and supervisors and pays particular attention to the most common hazards, including (un)loading of delivery vehicles, storage systems, workplace transport, mechanical lifting and injuries from sharp edges.

This Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) and associated guidance provides practical advice on how you can comply with the requirements of the regulations. It provides guidance to those who own, operate or work on offshore installations and looks at how to prevent fires and explosions as well as how to protect people should they occur.

L123 – Health care and first aid on offshore installations and pipeline works: Approved Code of Practice and guidance (Third edition)

This Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) and associated guidance provides practical advice on how you can comply with the requirements of the regulations. The ACOP covers the provision of adequate first aid and basic health care for all personnel, including visitors, who are injured or become ill while on offshore installations.

HSG263 – Involving your workforce in health and safety: Guidance for all workplaces

This guide is mainly aimed at medium to large employers. It will help them in their legal duty to consult and involve their employees on health and safety matters. This version has been updated to clarify examples of how to comply with the Regulations and to update links and references to other guidance.
